About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and lead enterprise-scale data solutions within the insurance domain, with a strong focus on Duck Creek Clarity/Insights ecosystems.
In this role, you will define and implement end-to-end data architecture spanning ingestion, transformation, modeling, governance, and analytics consumption layers. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Duck Creek platform teams, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms.
This position will play a critical leadership role in modernizing data infrastructure, migrating legacy environments to Snowflake and Azure-based architectures, and establishing governance, quality, and observability standards across the data lifecycle.
Skills & ExperienceCore Architecture & Platform Expertise
* 12+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering and architecture roles
* Strong experience with Duck Creek Clarity and Duck Creek Insights, including reporting structures and data extraction patterns
* Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture (schema design, performance tuning, RBAC, cost optimization)
* Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline orchestration and monitoring
* Strong proficiency in SSIS for hybrid integrations and legacy data migration
* Experience migrating data from legacy systems into Duck Creek platforms
* Strong SQL skills with demonstrated ability to optimize complex transformations
* Familiarity with data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage tracking
Governance & DevOps
* Experience implementing data governance standards, audit frameworks, and observability practices
* Strong understanding of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps best practices for data platforms
* Ability to produce high-level and low-level design documentation, architecture diagrams, and data contracts
Insurance Domain Knowledge
* Strong understanding of policy lifecycle, claims, billing, commissions, underwriting, and reinsurance processes
Nice to Have
* Experience with real-time data patterns (Kafka, Event Hub, streaming pipelines)
* Relevant certifications in Duck Creek, Snowflake, or Azure
