About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Baker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide variety of bread, pastries, and other bakery products in accordance with established recipes and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and bake doughs for breads, rolls, savoury twists, and sweet products according to company recipes and production schedules.
* Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients to achieve consistent product quality.
* Operate bakery ovens, mixers, proofers, and other bakery machinery safely and efficiently.
* Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance to ensure optimal results.
* Apply finishes such as glazing, icing, or toppings to sweet goods as required.
* Inspect raw materials and finished products to maintain Bakers Delight quality standards.
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment in accordance with HACCP and company policies.
* Assist in stock rotation, ingredient storage, and ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve processes.
* Support the introduction of new products, seasonal items, and promotional ranges.
* Uphold Bakers Delight's commitment to freshness, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent qualification).
* Minimum (insert number) years' experience as a baker in a commercial or retail bakery environment.
* Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards (HACCP).
* Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
* Strong teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
