This position can be based in any of the following (QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA, TAS) Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (hourly rate contract) to support the assessment of scientific and IT equipment and software within a specialised research unit. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical forensic and ICT capabilities within a highly specialised technical environment. About the Role As the Business Analyst, you will work closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across the wider organisation to assess systems, understand business needs, and document requirements for a range of scientific and ICT capabilities. Your analysis will directly support decision‑making, capability uplift, and future investment planning. Key Responsibilities Engage key stakeholders to define the scope of work and required deliverables for division leadership. Consult with stakeholders across multiple forensic ICT systems to assess and document: system requirements support needs business processes Work with internal stakeholders to capture existing ICT support arrangements, system infrastructure, and business processes that affect the Forensic systems. Prepare a comprehensive report summarising findings, analysis, and recommendations. Skills & Experience Essential Strong business analysis background Demonstrated experience engaging stakeholders at both technical and non‑technical levels. Experience capturing business processes, particularly those involving scientific and/or forensic systems (advantageous).
