Join to apply for the Bid Administrator role at Bendigo Advertiser. This is a newly created role in our Australian operations, offering the opportunity to learn the bid process and contribute across the lifecycle of a pursuit. Based in Adelaide or Newcastle, you’ll support the Australian Water business and Beca HunterH2O throughout the lifecycle of a pursuit.

The Opportunity

As our Australian business grows, so is our team in the market. This is a newly created role and a unique opportunity for someone who wants to learn the bid process. You’ll assist the Bid Coordinator and Advisor with the coordination, preparation, and submission of tenders, expressions of interest, and capability statements in Australia. You’ll help manage access to online tender portals, support formatting and proofreading of documents, and ensure responses meet quality standards. We work hard but have fun along the way. Based in Adelaide or Newcastle, you’ll support the Australian Water business and Beca HunterH2O throughout the lifecycle of a pursuit. Your responsibilities will include scheduling internal review reminders, tracking new opportunities, and helping to organise bid content within our systems. You’ll also assist with sales generation activities and provide general administrative support such as travel bookings, workshop setups, and event logistics—making sure everything runs smoothly and aligns with Beca’s standards. With no two bids the same, you’ll play an important role in keeping our bid responses organised and consistent. You’ll work closely with our marketing, communications, and graphic teams to ensure all documentation reflects Beca’s brand. You’ll also support business development and client relationship activities, escalate complex enquiries to senior colleagues, and contribute to special projects when needed. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn will help you succeed in this role.

What You’ll Need / Qualifications

- Background in administration—whether as a team assistant, project administrator, or in a similar role—and an interest in taking your first step into business development.
- Tenacious, confident, and collaborative team player with a positive, proactive attitude and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Capable writer with strong communication and influencing skills; exceptional attention to detail; relationship-building skills; ability to drive tasks to completion within tight timeframes.
- Authenticity and willingness to bring your whole self to work.
