Job Opportunity: Heavy Diesel Mechanic TSS 482 Visa/Transfer of nomination available for outstanding candidate The Client The client is a leader in the Australian and New Zealand collision repair industry and the associated auto parts market. The Role Follow all safety policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate PPE is always worn. Immediately report any safety incident to the Production Manager or Centre Manager. Clock on and off using the timekeeping system each day. Check parts for correctness and damage prior to commencement and installation. Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet. Label parts and store accordingly. Perform adaptations based on completed diagnoses. Inform the Manager of any deviations from the original job sheet, including vehicle completion time or quoted estimate. Conduct mechanic diagnosis, repairs, and replacements. Use Star Diagnosis and Autel Diagnostic computers for diagnostics. Update diagnostic and wheel alignment computers as necessary. Refurbish recycled parts to meet quality standards. Ensure vehicles or components are only refitted or supplied if safe. Notate broken parts or additional repairs and submit to Estimator. Obtain authorization before proceeding with additional work. Verify correctness and condition of new parts, then inform Parts or Production Manager. Use consumables and materials efficiently to minimize wastage. Ensure work complies with company standards and sign the QA sheet. Maintain cleanliness of the workbay/workshop. Handle tools and equipment with care, ensuring safety and cleanliness. Coach apprentices as required. Perform all lawful and reasonable requests by management. The Candidate Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience post-apprenticeship in the industry. Excellent communication skills.
