MAINTENANCE FITTER Hamilton Island is looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering and Services division. You’ll be responsible for mechanical maintenance and urgent repairs across a wide range of critical infrastructure including pump stations, the Reverse Osmosis Plant, and the Sewerage Treatment Plant. Your work helps ensure safe, reliable services for both guests and staff – all while living on one of Australia’s most stunning island destinations. Supportive team culture and opportunities to grow Your Role In this hands-on role, you’ll take the lead on mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and urgent fault resolution across Hamilton Island’s engineering systems. You’ll work closely within the Services Team to ensure reliable water and sewerage services, while maintaining compliance with all safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on pump equipment and associated systems Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests impacting guest comfort Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained in safe, clean condition Accurately record labour hours, materials, and work details Assist other trades as directed by the Services Manager Comply with all safety regulations and workplace procedures About You You’re a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys variety, thrives in a team environment, and has a strong sense of responsibility. You bring a proactive approach to maintenance and are confident working independently on fault analysis and repair. You take pride in high standards of safety and quality – and you’re ready for the next challenge in a tropical location like no other.
