Primary objective

Provide sound operational advice and information relating to Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, including the use of a

range of web-based corporate systems, collection of relevant data and development of high-level unit reporting.

Context statement

Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) provides evidence-based differentiated services and support to preschools and schools

to maximise outcomes for Territory children and young people. Our services encompass quality teaching and learning,

national and systemic assessment, transition to boarding school support and policy coordination. TLS also plays a strategic

role in implementing government priorities, offering expert advice to the education minister and the department's senior

executives. We enhance our work by actively engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure best outcomes for all

of our clients.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Support the development and implementation of key projects, including governance, monitoring, and reporting.

2. Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders in process of using GrantsNT and Grants systems.

3. Implement and monitor processes and reporting to manage the administration of system data and corporate impact data.

4. Work collaboratively with staff and officers within TLS to assist with access and analysis of system data.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering complex projects and the ability to apply strategic thinking, manage

competing priorities and ensure timely high-quality outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.

2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in sensitive environments with professionalism and integrity, alongside sound

knowledge of government protocols and legislation, and experience preparing high-level reports and ministerial

correspondence.

1. Sound knowledge and experience with grants management, processes and policies.

2. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the capacity to prioritise and meet competing deadlines,

work under pressure while maintaining quality of product and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to

identify areas for continuing improvement.

1. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including

culturally diverse groups and experienced in coordinating and promoting high-profile events, ensuring alignment with

strategic goals and public sector standards.

1. Demonstrated strategic, conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to translate complex matters into succinct

and meaningful forms for use by others with a high-level ability to work independently and flexibly using initiative and

judgement in problem solving.

Desirable

1. Certificate IV or higher in business administration or systems.
