The role of Regional Sales Manager is a key position within the sales team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Sales Director and play a vital part in driving sales activity across the Northern Region.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing Area Sales Managers to achieve business objectives and customer trading agreements.
* Delivering sales targets through effective activity management.
* Providing guidance, support, and leadership to team members to ensure they can perform their duties satisfactorily.
* Offering regular feedback on sales team performance to drive results.
* Developing strong working relationships with key customer personnel in the Region.
* Managing Regional Expenditure budgets and maintaining accurate records.
* Organizing and attending customer events and meetings as required.
* Handling performance/absence/people management issues with HR support.
* Attending regular training sessions to develop managerial skills.
Required Skills & Experience
* A solid understanding of industry trading principles is essential.
* Proven people management experience with a track record of following HR policies.
* A flexible approach and ability to work away from home regularly.
* An outgoing personality for building internal and external relationships.
* A good understanding of the company's customer base would be advantageous.
