Job Opportunity: School Psychologist
The School Psychologist is responsible for delivering psycho-educational and diagnostic services to students within the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education.
This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive program plans for students with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting thorough assessments and providing recommendations for student support
* Facilitating transition plans for students and supporting inclusion initiatives
* Providing professional development for school staff on topics such as evidence-based practices and assistive technology
* Collaborating with families, teachers, and other professionals to promote student learning and well-being
* Developing and implementing individualized program plans (IPPs) for students with significant needs
For success in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in School Psychology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
