EOI – Advisor, Contingent Workforce (6‑Month Opportunity)

Salary Range: $113,574 - $125,720 + super
Location: Based at McKell, Parramatta, Gosford or regional. Hybrid working arrangements including office attendance
Employment Type: Temporary from 23rd March to September 29, 2026, Full-Time
We are seeking EOIs for a 6‑month opportunity as an Advisor, Contingent Workforce, whilst our team member is on extended leave.
This role is a great fit for someone with experience in contingent labour sourcing, ideally with exposure to the NSW Government Scheme C0007, who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement across DCS.
About the Role
As an Advisor, you will work closely with:
* Contractor Central
* DCS Procurement
* NSW Treasury Procurement
* Various hiring managers across DCS
You will support hiring managers, People & Culture, and business units across DCS by providing specialist advice on contingent labour, including scheme requirements, approvals and compliance with DCS delegations.
Working closely with Managed Service Provider, Kelly OCG who provide a Contractor Central service to DCS. Liaising with the team on a regular basis, to train new team members, communicate updates, tracking errors and meet with Program Manager on a monthly and ad hoc basis as required.
This role also helps drive cost saving initiatives, in line with whole of government and NSW Premier’s Department directives including reduction in long tenure and conversion of workers.
Also providing various reports – monthly spend for divisions, interstate workers, compliance tracking and regular reports for Director Talent, as well as ad hoc requests.
The role also manages interstate-based worker requests, updating guidelines, updating SharePoint and various other projects.
What You will Be Doing
You will be responsible for:
* Provide training to new Contractor Central team members and track areas for development.
* Providing advice on the use of Scheme C0007 and guiding stakeholders through compliant sourcing options
* Supporting approval processes in line with DCS delegation requirements
* Helping hiring managers and P&C navigate contingent workforce processes and documentation.
* Ensuring all contingent labour requests and extensions meet compliance requirements.
* Monitoring long tenure contractors and supporting actions to reduce tenure where required
* Working with Contractor Central to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
* Partnering with procurement teams to ensure alignment with policy and best practice
* Provide regular reporting to the business, P&C, Director and other requests.
* Working on various projects as required
