About the Role As a Security Analyst, you will monitor and investigate security events, respond to incidents, and contribute to ongoing improvements across security controls, detection tooling, identity management and threat‑hunting activities. You will work closely with experienced security specialists and technology teams to ensure secure and resilient operation of systems across both cloud and on‑prem environments. Skills & Experience Experience monitoring, investigating and responding to security alerts, incidents and suspicious activity across cloud and on‑prem Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, Windows operating systems, event log analysis, and endpoint protection tools. Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms, including creating, tuning and maintaining detection rules and log ingestion Familiarity with vulnerability assessment processes, patch management and supporting ongoing system hardening Exposure to identity and access management, including role‑based access control and privileged access practices Ability to support compliance uplift work aligned to frameworks such as Essential 8 and ISM Knowledge of threat intelligence tooling, security monitoring methods and proactive threat‑hunting techniques Experience contributing to security risk assessments, internal reviews and producing clear operational reporting. Understanding of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), email/web filtering, NAC, Wi‑Fi security and OSINT practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams A proactive learner with genuine interest in evolving threats, emerging security controls and continuous improvement Due to the nature of the organisation and the work at hand, it is required that the candidate hold an active Australian Citizenship.
