The RoleMake a difference in our community

The position forms part of team of committed traffic engineers and technical professionals all working towards delivering vibrant self-sustaining communities that are, accessible, functional, safe and well-connected.

As a key member of the team, you are responsible for providing a quality, innovative and solution focused road safety, parking, traffic and transport engineering related investigations, assessments and approvals in relation to the city's local and arterial road networks; Ensuring that engineering solutions are implemented innovatively within a growth area context and in accordance with industry standards, specifications and Council policy and guidelines.

About youYou will be qualified in Civil Engineering (or other equivalent engineering discipline), with a minimum 4 years' experience in traffic and transport engineering, or closely related field preferably in Local or State Government. You will have worked with a range of internal and external stakeholders and have strong communication skills, understanding of the local government engineering, planning and statutory reporting frameworks, policies and procedures, as well as working positively in a team environment.

You would have understanding of the application of municipal traffic and transport issues related to existing and especially in proposed urban areas and growth area planning using industry best practice principles and advanced time management skills, with the ability to complete multiple activities at a time.
