Range $109,860 - $130,643 (including salary $92,910 - $110,781 + additional $4,000 attraction & retention allowance and market allowance up to $11,087).
Position Overview
Senior Child Protection Practitioner (P2) – Regional Services / Families, Central Australia. Based in Alice Springs. Several full‐time ongoing vacancies are available. Apply your practical skills and tertiary qualifications in Social Work to positively impact children and families.
Responsibilities
* Assess individual, family and community issues.
* Apply appropriate methods of intervention.
* Deliver case work and case management services.
* Undertake statutory responsibilities and exercise delegations under the Care and Protection of Children Act.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian Community Workers Association, Australian Psychological Society or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of statutory and non‐statutory welfare services, strength‐based assessments, effective interventions, and application of complex legislation.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures, and ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.
