Based in the Quantum and Nano Technology Group (QuaNTeG) in the School of Chemical Engineering. Full‐time (1.00FTE), fixed‐term contract for 24 months, with the possibility of extension for several more years dependent on funding. (Level A) $81,293 to $109,307 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

The team

Working under the general direction of the Quantum and Nano Technology Group (QuaNTeG) and Jesper Munch Quantum Laboratories lead, Associate Professor G. C. Tettamanzi, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work closely with both academia and industry through partnerships with the BECA Group and REQUIEM Systems (a University startup).

Experience
* PhD in Physics, Engineering or Materials Science with experience in fabrication and good knowledge in the Physics of Quantum devices.
* Demonstrated knowledge in the fabrication processes and surface treatments that can be used to fabricate Josephson junction circuitry in a CMOS compatible environment.
* Demonstrated experience in thin‐film material characterization techniques.
* Demonstrated knowledge of software and python tools that the QuaNTeG is using to control their lithography tools and ultra‐low noise experiments (including RF measurements) and knowledge and ability to maintain and develop these tools for more advanced experiments by using Python, MATLAB, COMSOL and other software packages.
* Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery whilst maintaining a day‐to‐day meeting routine with the group leader to update on the progress made in the development of the research programme.
