About Argyle Community Housing Ltd
Argyle Community Housing Ltd (Argyle Housing) is a Tier 1 not-for-profit community housing provider delivering social and affordable housing across 17 local government areas in NSW and the ACT. The organisation manages a portfolio of approximately 2,400 properties and has offices across regional NSW and the ACT.
About the role
Each Director works collaboratively with other Board members and serves on one or more Board committees. The Board is responsible for setting Argyle Housing's strategic direction, establishing appropriate governance, risk and policy frameworks, and overseeing operational and financial performance in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and role modelling our culture.
Board meetings are held at least six times per year, primarily in Bowral, NSW with some meetings rotated across regional locations. Directors are encouraged to attend in person where possible.
Skills and Experience
* Previous non-executive director experience and Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Membership is strongly preferred.
* Governance capability and experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Legal and compliance, including experience considering strategic and critical operational matters, preferably in property related design, construction or asset intensive environments.
o Property, asset management and development, including project financial models and structures, acquisitions, development delivery, project governance and strategic asset planning.
o Commercial growth and operational performance, including improving operating models and applying sound commercial judgement in regulated or service-based sectors.
* Strong strategic thinking, sound judgement, people leadership, integrity, and a collaborative and inclusive approach aligned with Argyle Housing's purpose and values.

* Valid ACT Working with Vulnerable Persons Card
