About the role
K2 Law is seeking an experienced dispute resolution lawyer to join our dynamic team in Bundall, Queensland. As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal advice and representation to our diverse client base. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex litigation and dispute resolution matters across various industries.
What you'll be doing
* Advising clients on dispute resolution strategies and managing litigation proceedings
* Negotiating settlements and representing clients in alternative dispute resolution processes
* Collaborating with senior lawyers and partners to develop creative solutions for clients
* Providing regular progress updates to clients and managing their expectations
* Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and law clerks within the team
* Contributing to the growth and development of the firm's dispute resolution practice
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience (3+ years) in dispute resolution and litigation, either in a private practice or in-house environment
* Demonstrated expertise in various areas of law, including commercial, property, and employment disputes
* Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments effectively
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different audiences
* A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
