Queensland Parliamentary Catering Services is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to maintain food hygiene standards and support catering operations within the heritage-listed Parliament House precinct. This hand-on role involves cleaning, sanitising equipment, managing kitchen supplies, and assisting with logistics. Ideal candidates will have experience in similar roles, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to workplace health and safety.
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our diverse catering operations. Working within the Parliamentary precinct, you'll support a team that delivers exceptional dining experiences - from fine dining at Strangers' Restaurant to casual dining and large-scale event catering.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards in all catering areas.
* Wash crockery, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
* Sanitise catering equipment (ovens, deep fryers, cool rooms, food processors).
* Remove waste and clean floors, walls, and shelving.
* Order, restock, and organize kitchen supplies.
* Assist with moving catering supplies and equipment throughout the precinct.
* Provide direction to casual and agency Kitchen Porters.
We Are Looking For
* Experience working in a similar role.
* Strong communication and teamwork.
* Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and food hygiene practices.
* Understanding of catering operations, food storage, and inventory control.
