We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Geneff Aged Care Home located in Innaloo. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Geneff is one of our smaller sites, with 38 beds across four houses located a short walk away from Stirling Station.
This role is offered on a permanent part time basis, working 46 hours per fortnight across the following roster:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday 9am - 4.30pm
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday 9am - 4.30pm
To be successful in this role, you will have experience or an interest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.
About You
* Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
* Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
* Reliable with a strong work ethic
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
* Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
* Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
The Role
* Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
* Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
* Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
* Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
