An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Administrator to join a well-established construction contractor delivering projects across Newcastle and the wider NSW region in their linings division.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, develop your commercial expertise, and contribute to a business known for quality delivery, strong client relationships, and long-term project pipelines. You will be based from the companies office in Newcastle.
Role:
Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Teams, and Commercial leadership to ensure smooth project delivery.
Managing all contractual and commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final accounts.
Preparing, assessing, and managing subcontractor scopes, tender packages, contract negotiations, and award recommendations.
Administering progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and cost reporting in line with project budgets and company procedures.
Monitoring project costs, forecasting, and cash flow, ensuring accurate monthly reporting.
Maintaining strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
Supporting compliance with company systems, quality standards, and WHS requirements across all projects.
Requirements:
3+ years' experience in a Contracts Administrator role within the construction industry.
Proven experience working on commercial projects.
Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
