Disability Support Worker (Casual Position)

Location: Ipswich and Surrounding Suburbs
Hours: 7 Days a Week, 24hrs but generally 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (including weekends and public holidays)
We're seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential care in a rewarding environment.
About the Role:
Your role will include assisting clients with:
* Personal care: Assisting with showering, dressing, and personal hygiene
* Meal prep: Preparing nutritious and customized meals
* Cleaning: Assisting with light household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Companionship: Engaging in social activities and fostering positive relationships
* Hoisting: Providing physical assistance to move or transfer clients as required
* Physio sessions: Supporting clients during rehabilitation or exercise routines with the assistance of Physiotherapist.
You will be part of a close-knit team providing essential support to vulnerable individuals, helping them lead more independent, fulfilling lives. This is a casual position with the opportunity to become a long-term, integral part of the team as we continue to grow.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING
ESSENTIAL:
* Own vehicle, open license with clean record
* Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid completed within the last 2 years
* CPR completed within the last 12 months
* Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Yellow Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Must be 18 years or older
* Must be an Australian citizen
Ideal Candidate:
* Passionate about supporting and improving the lives of individuals with disabilities
* Strong dedication and commitment to providing high-quality care
* Experience with wheelchair assistance, hoisting, and personal care is a plus, but not required
* Positive, proactive, and compassionate
* Willing to work shifts across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Young individuals or those with an interest in pop culture will be well-suited to the role
* Must be looking for a long-term position within a supportive team environment
This position currently offers 10-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling available
