The Opportunity A growing international brand within the hospitality industry has recently launched in Australia and is seeing strong early momentum, backed by private equity and clear expansion plans. With several locations already operating and more openings planned this year, the business is now focused on building out its people capability to support that growth. This role offers the chance to take ownership of the HR function from an early stage, helping to shape how the business hires, develops and supports its teams as it scales. You’ll play a key part in setting up new locations for success while putting the right foundations in place for the future. The Role This is a broad HR role with a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day support for a growing, high-volume workforce. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and hiring Own end-to-end recruitment for new store openings, from GMs and AGMs through to crew Build talent pipelines so hiring stays ahead of expansion Source candidates through job boards, referrals and hospitality networks Partner with operations on hiring timelines and decisions Coordinate onboarding from offer stage through to first shift Work with Store Managers to plan and deliver training ahead of opening Develop simple, repeatable processes for each new opening Ensure contracts, paperwork and compliance requirements are completed Support the development of team members across all levels Help Store Managers with performance reviews, promotions and succession planning Identify skill gaps and put practical solutions in place Manage contracts, policies and employee records Support employee relations matters and coach managers where needed Step in early to manage and reduce risk Put in place HR processes that will scale with the business Help create consistency across stores as more locations open Contribute to building a positive, practical culture on the ground About You You’ve worked in HR or people roles within hospitality, QSR or retail environments You’re comfortable dealing with high-volume, frontline workforces You have a solid understanding of Australian employment law and awards You’re practical, hands-on and don’t mind building things from scratch You’re confident, mature and able to work independently You can build strong relationships with both store teams and leadership Why Join A chance to take real ownership of the HR function Join early in the Australian growth journey of a well-known global brand Autonomy to shape how things are done A hands-on role where you can have a visible impact Opportunity to build a team over time as the business grows A fun, fast-paced hospitality environment Submit your resume to be considered for this opportunity, or alternatively reach out to Bfennah@sharpandcarter.com.au
