Reporting to the Associate Director, Legal Technology (Australia) (), this position includes direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the eDiscovery team in the region.Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include the following:Clients/ Business DevelopmentEstablishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the local Partners and CRMs across the national Australian HSF practice. Promoting the full eDiscovery offering to them, in consultation and collaboration with relevant peer(s), to maximise the opportunity for the firm's clients to benefit from Digital Legal Delivery services.Leading projects that develop new business in the region across all sectorsLegal TechnologySupporting the Digital Legal Delivery Technology Roadmap programme and the Digital Legal Delivery Sharedo programme.ReportingProactive, timely and accurate reporting to the AD and Partner on performance in the region in respect of:The eDiscovery budget, Finance/Revenue and profitabilityUtilisationResourcing/recruitment including recommendationsPeople/HR/Team management issuesWork and PipelineBusiness Development OpportunitiesMatter management (including any quality issues)Strategic LeadershipProviding inspired leadership and clear direction to teams ensuring a collaborative approach to achieve the firm's objectives and promote a positive perception of HSF and Digital Legal Delivery to clients.Leading and developing a culture within eDiscovery to support the attraction, development, performance and retention of the highest calibre employees.Financial ManagementAchieving revenue growth while maintaining strong margins, with specific revenue and margin targets to be set on an annual basis by the Digital Legal Delivery Executive.Managing the Legal Technology annual budget.Providing pricing models and cost estimates to the AD, working with the Digital Legal Delivery finance team and the HSF pricing team.Risk ManagementEnsuring the business is aware of potential risks and that appropriate risk assessment is part of the process for taking on new work, using new technology, or using technology in new ways.Qualifications, skills and experience• Have a track record of successfully leading an eDiscovery team.
