Job Title: Maintenance Technician
This role involves overseeing maintenance and repairs of a wide range of equipment, including heavy machinery and diesel engines. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, conducting routine maintenance and ensuring the safe execution of all planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out repairs as required and conduct routine maintenance on all machinery.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose faults, schedule inspections, servicing, adjustments and repairs in a timely manner.
* Travel between locations to conduct mobile/field maintenance and repairs.
* Organise your own schedule according to repair and maintenance requirements.
* Liaise with project managers, site supervisors and other stakeholders for machinery downtime to coincide with maintenance/repairs.
* Liaise with relevant site administrator and supervisor for site access, completing inductions and paperwork as required.
* For larger works, liaise with suppliers for quotes providing your experience and knowledge in diagnosis from third parties.
* Ensure the safe execution of all planned and unplanned maintenance activities within quality, time and budget requirements.
About You:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position.
* Experience organising and conducting routine maintenance on similar machinery and vehicles.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing own schedule and workload.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to provide mobile/field repairs.
* Proactive in planning with excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Minimum Manual C Class Driver's License, HR license is advantageous.
* White Card.
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
* National Police Clearance.
* Full Australian Working Rights; sponsorship transfer will only be considered for candidates currently located in Australia.
* Air con ticket (preferred but not essential).
