Are you an organised
and detail-oriented procurement professional with experience in fleet
management and contract administration? We are seeking a proactive and
commercially astute Fleet Procurement Officer to join our Infrastructure
Services team.
This role plays a key
part in supporting Council's fleet operations through effective procurement,
contract management, and asset lifecycle coordination. Working closely with
internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors, you will ensure Council's fleet
is procured, maintained, and managed in accordance with legislative
requirements and organisational policies.
* Twelve (12) Month Term Contract.
* Temporary, full-time position (35 hours per
week).
* Remuneration package of $3,087.34 gross per
fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,704.81 gross per fortnight
* superannuation (12%).

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Demonstrated
experience in procurement, contract administration, or fleet management
* Knowledge
of public sector procurement processes (experience within local government
highly regarded)
* Strong
organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
* Ability
to interpret specifications, technical information, and supplier contracts
* Effective
communication skills and ability to build collaborative working relationships
* Proficiency
in relevant software systems and data management tools
In this role, you will be
responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
* Coordinating
the procurement of plant, vehicles and fleet assets in accordance with
Council's Procurement Policy and legislative requirements
* Managing
supplier relationships, tender processes, and contract administration
* Monitoring
fleet replacement programs and asset lifecycle planning
* Supporting
compliance with WHS, environmental and operational standards
* Maintaining
accurate fleet data and reporting through Council systems
* Assisting
with budget monitoring and financial tracking of fleet acquisitions
As the successful applicant, you
will have:
* Certificate IV in Fleet Management or related field.
* Experience in local government procurement processes and
tendering.
* Experience with heavy plant and machinery.
* Familiarity with RMS regulations and vehicle registration
processes.
