VetPartners Australia and New Zealand

Offer description

At VetPartners, we support more than 270 veterinary clinics across Australia and New Zealand, enabling our teams to deliver outstanding care to pets and their owners. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we actively support their health, safety and wellbeing so they can thrive at work and beyond.

We're looking for an experienced HSW Injury Management Coordinator to join our growing Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth case management and a high level of return‐to‐work support for our team members across Australia and New Zealand.

We're looking for an experienced, proactive HSW Injury Management Coordinator to take ownership of day‐to‐day workers' compensation case management, return‐to work‐programs, and key safety systems and processes. This is a hands‐on, visible role for someone who thrives on supporting people, navigating complexity, and ensuring safe, confident pathways back to work and day‐to‐day workers' compensation case management.

Reporting to the General Manager – Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you'll help facilitate injury management, coordinate return‐to‐work plans, and assist with the implementation of WHS systems and compliance initiatives. You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders from practice managers and insurers to injured workers and treating practitioners, supporting safe, timely, and sustainable recovery outcomes.

This is more than a compliance role. It's about continuing to create a culture where safety isn't just a checklist—it's a shared value. If you're proactive, empathetic, and ready to make a meaningful impact, this is your opportunity to join a business where your work truly matters.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing workers' compensation claims and coordinating return‐to‐work plans.
* Supporting HSW policies, training, inspections and risk assessments.
* Promoting safe work practices and a strong safety culture.
* Assisting with HSW audits, risk registers and safety improvements.
* Coordinating communication between employees, managers, medical providers and insurers.
* Preparing claims documentation, wage information and reimbursement data.
* Supporting WorkCover policy renewals with accurate wage submissions.
* Providing timely reports on claims and safety trends.
* Working collaboratively with Operations and the HSW team.

About you

You're a compassionate and organised professional with strong communication skills and a calm, solutions‐focused approach. You build trust quickly, handle sensitive conversations with empathy and discretion, and collaborate effectively with employees, leaders and external partner

You'll bring:

* Certified Health & Safety Representative with hands‐on, end‐to‐end injury management experience
* Sound knowledge of return‐to‐work legislation, codes or practice, and psychological safety obligations
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and/or Return to Work Coordination
* Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
* Experience with enterprise risk management systems and safety reporting tools (advantageous, not essential)
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative mindset
* Experience in animal or human healthcare (advantageous, not essential)

Purpose‐led work: Make a meaningful difference every day by supporting those who care for pets and their families

Autonomy & impact: Own an end‐to‐end Risk Management with real influence

Collaborative culture: Work alongside passionate, committed people who value learning and growth

Development opportunities: Ongoing professional development and the chance to grow with a dynamic organisation

If you're passionate about work health and safety, love supporting safety initiatives, and ready to take ownership of Injury management, we'd love to hear from you.

This role features a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in our dog friendly office to promote collaboration, build strong connections, and enhance team engagement, and will directly support our mission of delivering exceptional veterinary care. Some travel will be required for visiting Clinics, Hospitals and meeting Insurers.
