The Opportunity
An incredible opportunity has opened up for a strategic and driven Performance Marketing Team Lead to join our growing team.
In this role, you will lead a dedicated performance marketing pod responsible for planning, executing, and optimising paid advertising campaigns for a portfolio of high-growth DTC brands across industries including beauty, fashion, homewares, and health & wellness, both in Australia and globally.
You will take ownership of paid ads strategy and performance across the pod, ensuring campaigns are executed to a high standard while delivering strong commercial outcomes for clients.
Beyond campaign execution, you will play a key leadership role within the agency. You will mentor and develop paid ads specialists, strengthen internal processes, and help drive strategic growth across client accounts.
Each Team Lead oversees a dedicated pod of 2–3 paid ads specialists and is responsible for the performance, development, and strategic direction of the accounts within that pod.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the paid advertising strategy and execution across your pod's client portfolio
* Oversee paid ads initiatives across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and Google
* Drive campaign performance by identifying optimisation opportunities and implementing strategic improvements
* Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and meet Evocative Media's quality and performance standards
* Act as the senior strategic contact for key client accounts and stakeholders
* Provide strategic insights and recommendations aligned with clients' broader business objectives
* Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients
* Identify and drive growth opportunities within client accounts
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of paid ads specialists (typically 2–3 team members)
* Provide regular feedback, guidance and support to develop team members' technical and strategic capabilities
* Upskill team members on best practices across paid advertising platforms
Project & Process Management
* Oversee the planning and execution of all paid advertising projects within the pod
* Improve workflows and processes to increase efficiency and campaign performance
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard
Communication & Reporting
* Lead client meetings and internal team discussions with clear, actionable insights
* Present strategic updates and performance insights to clients and agency leadership
Agency Growth
* Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across existing client accounts
* Collaborate with leadership on proposals and pitches for new business opportunities
* Support internal paid advertising initiatives that contribute to the agency's growth
Your Experience
* 5+ years experience in paid advertising
* At least 2 years experience working in an agency environment
* Confident managing at least $1,000/day in ad spend
* Proven ability to manage 5+ client accounts simultaneously
* Advanced, hands‐on expertise in Meta and Google Ads (non‐negotiable)
* You should know both platforms inside out, including campaign structure, scaling strategies, optimisation frameworks, QA processes, reporting, and performance analysis.
* Strong experience working with Shopify‐based eCommerce brands
* Strong skills in using tools like Lucid Charts, Motion, Triple Whale, Supermetrics and/or Google Sheets for planning and reporting
* Strong understanding of on-platform compliance and best practices
* Confident, polished client-facing communication and stakeholder management
* Deep understanding of eCommerce growth and performance metrics, including: nCAC, MER, Contribution Margin, LTV, repeat purchase rate, and cohort analysis
* Comfortable owning performance outcomes end‐to‐end and working with a high level of autonomy
* Collaborative leader who enjoys working with cross‐functional teams
* Strong creative judgement with the ability to direct our in‐house creative team on high‐converting ad copy and creative
