The State Taxes team specializes in Land Tax, Stamp Duty, and property-related taxes, working collaboratively across practice areas.About the RoleAs a Senior Manager or Client Director in our State Taxes team, you will provide technical and commercially focused advice to a diverse client base across Australia, primarily on Stamp Duty, Land Tax, and related property taxes.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding accurate, tailored advice and solutions to clients and internal stakeholdersPreparing private ruling applications, objections, lodgements, and relief applicationsManaging investigations, compliance activities, and disputes with revenue authoritiesBuilding and maintaining client relationships and collaborating internallyParticipating in training, business development, and internal initiativesCandidate ProfileWe seek candidates with:A law and/or accounting degree with experience in state taxes or related legislative interpretationStrong legislative interpretation skills and ability to craft practical adviceCommercial focus, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently or collaborativelyHow to ApplyIf you’re interested in developing meaningful client and team relationships and leading with your ideas, we want to hear from you.Our recruitment process includes a phone screening, two interviews, and role-specific testing or case studies.
