Loader Operator Trainer Position
We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping operators build confidence, capability, and safe operating habits.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Program Development
* Deliver structured and engaging training programs for Loader Operators.
* Provide patient, hands-on coaching that supports operators with varying learning styles and experience.
* Lead practical assessments, simulations, and safety-focused training activities.
* Support onboarding, probation reviews, and annual competency assessments.
Performance Monitoring & Skills Development
* Review load data, compliance reports, and supervisor feedback to identify areas for development.
* Maintain an up-to-date register of operator competencies, refresher needs, and progression pathways.
* Develop targeted coaching plans that build confidence, correct unsafe habits, and lift overall team performance.
* Work closely with individuals who may need extra time, support, or encouragement.
Compliance & Record Keeping
* Accurately document all training sessions, assessments, and competency sign-offs.
* Keep training records up to date in relevant systems.
* Ensure all training aligns with WHS regulations, Chain of Responsibility, and operational standards.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum 5 years' experience operating loaders in mining or bulk logistics environments.
* Proven experience training, mentoring, or assessing loader operators.
* Confident in delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and practical training sessions.
* Strong knowledge of load distribution, weight compliance, and safety protocols.
* Proficient in maintaining training records using digital systems.
* Competent with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and tracking progress.
* Ability to design, manage, and deliver structured training programs.
* Capable of leading and supporting peer trainers across multiple sites.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and follow-up skills.
