Job Overview
As a General Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales and customer experience of non-food products. You will take ownership of all store operations and ensure they meet high standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage all aspects of non-food products to meet business objectives.
2. Oversee daily store operations from shop floor to warehouse, manage performance and capability, and handle disciplinary actions and scheduling.
3. At times, assume overall responsibility for running the store, providing direction and support to colleagues to deliver excellent customer experiences.
Requirements
1. Previous line management experience in fast-paced retail environments.
2. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and coaching others to do the same.
3. Leadership experience in dynamic, customer-facing settings, driving high performance and creating a culture where colleagues thrive.
4. Leadership experience in managing complex people matters, including performance, absence, and formal employee relations cases.
5. Experience managing teams in high-volume, fast-paced operational settings, overseeing daily operations and solving business problems.

Proven success in delivering against multiple KPIs, including sales, stock availability, customer satisfaction, and colleague engagement.
