They have a well-known reputation for service and quality they are now scaling and looking to add a Solution Architect /Engineering Team lead to help provide technical leadership and some staff mentoring.
Responsibilities
Lead design & delivery of scalable, secure, high-performance network solutions, including SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, wireless, UC, and network access control.
When required provide Level 3 operational support for enterprise networks, resolving complex incidents and ensuring uptime for managed service customers.
Act as the technical lead through the full project lifecycle — from pre-sales and scoping to deployment and handover.
Produce clear, detailed technical documentation for designs, configurations, and handovers.
Mentor and manage a team of 4, guiding their professional growth and workload priorities.
Work closely with vendors, internal teams, and customers to ensure outstanding project outcomes.
Support and maintain Fortinet & Cisco Meraki environments including configurations, upgrades, and security policies.
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years in network design, support, and engineering.
Proven experience designing and deploying SD-WAN solutions.
Expertise in at least two of: Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco Meraki, Teams Calling (UC).
Deep knowledge of enterprise network security, LAN/WAN, data centre, cloud networking, wireless solutions, and hybrid environments.
Strong hands-on experience with firewall administration, security policy management, and threat prevention.
Familiarity with advanced networking technologies like SDN, automation, and cloud integration.
Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for all audiences.
Leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing technical teams.
