Chief Technology Officer Job Description

The Chief Technology Officer is a senior executive responsible for the strategic and operational management of ICT services.

* This includes developing an integrated information technology strategy across digital, cyber security, enterprise architecture and information management ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
* The CTO collaborates with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the development of the organisation's technology strategy and operationalise its technology services.
* The role oversees the development and maintenance of core ICT architecture and design standards across information technology systems.
* It involves anticipating and advising on emerging technologies and ICT trends to inform strategic decision making and advance the organisation's objectives.


Your Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the CIO in developing an integrated information technology strategy that aligns with organisational objectives.
2. Collaborate with the CIO to lead the development of the organisation's technology strategy and operationalise its technology services.
3. Oversee the development and maintenance of core ICT architecture and design standards across information technology systems.
4. Anticipate and advise on emerging technologies and ICT trends to inform strategic decision making and advance the organisation's objectives.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in a senior ICT role.
* Proven track record of leading large-scale ICT projects.
* Strong technical skills in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
