About the role
As a Personal Care Worker with Partner in care disability services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our clients in the Townsville area. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to fit around your lifestyle. You will be responsible for assisting clients with a range of day-to-day activities, supporting their independence and overall wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
1. Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
2. Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring clients receive a nutritious diet
3. Support clients with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping
4. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to improve their quality of life
5. Monitor clients' health and wellbeing, and report any concerns to the appropriate team
6. Maintain detailed client records and documentation
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience in a similar personal care or support worker role, preferably in the aged care or disability sector
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
3. A caring, patient, and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others
4. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
5. A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
6. A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence
