Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering team, focusing on Defence projects. Whilst our preference is for the role to be based in Adelaide, the role can also be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
* Lead and oversee structural design and project delivery, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, Building Codes of Australia (BCA), and client requirements.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable structural solutions.
* Perform structural analysis, prepare design reports, and oversee engineering documentation and drawings.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and client/stakeholder engagement to ensure successful outcomes.
* Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence through best practices and industry innovation.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
* Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering (essential).
* Ideally, 5 + years' professional experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on building structures.
* Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT, and Structural Toolkit (essential).
* Experience with SAP2000, RAM, Ideastatica, and Grasshopper (advantageous).
* Previous Defence experience is strongly preferred, with nuclear industry experience highly regarded.
Please note, due to the nature of the projects Australian Citizenship is required, with previous or current defence clearance highly regarded.
