Research fellow in climate projections – the university of melbourne

This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for a highly qualified researcher with strong quantitative skills and knowledge of climate processes to join a project addressing Australia's climate science challenges and adaptation needs.

As part of the National Environmental Science Program Climate Systems Hub project on regional climate change guidance for local action, your work will contribute to improving understanding and usability of climate projections and climate extremes.

You will contribute to a coordinated climate change and adaptation research program across all four NESP Hubs through the Climate Adaptation Initiative. The position is based within the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Dr. Andrew King, with collaboration opportunities at the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent knowledge of climate change science and variability, with experience using climate models and large datasets.

* Collaborative environment with leading climate science experts from the University of Melbourne, BoM, and CSIRO
* Salary range: $77,171 – $104,717 p.a. + 17% super, commensurate with experience
