About The Role
The Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting teams in executing high-quality procurement outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Contracts, this professional guides tender processes, formulates contract documentation, and provides expert feedback.
This position leads the development and review of clear and concise contractual documentation for building construction and consultant procurement activities.
Effective risk management is critical, involving the identification of key risks and implementing action plans for large, complex, and long-term contracts.
The successful person will demonstrate a proven ability to navigate legal and contractual requirements within a State Government Service or healthcare environment.
They will possess a strong understanding of legislation, policies, and standards related to purchasing and contract management in State Government organisations.
With demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management, this Contract Manager will support effective business change.
Proficiency in providing contractual advice to management and senior executives, coupled with experience in contract administration, is essential.
Operational planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary for managing complex issues within an environment of rapid change.
The Queensland hospital system faces greater demand and pressure due to a growing and ageing population. To address this, the Health Capital Division is leading the biggest hospital expansion program in Queensland's history.
This includes building new hospitals, expanding existing ones, upgrading rural and regional health facilities, and delivering thousands of new hospital beds over the next five years.
The division delivers the end-to-end capital infrastructure process, including planning, business cases, construction, and capital maintenance programs.
