About the Role
Chance to Join a agile team in a full-time position where your mechanical expertise will directly support production goals and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to carry out preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance across a busy processing site. This is a critical role that ensures plant reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and infrastructure
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs, including after-hours callouts
Diagnose faults in rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers) and implement solutions
Participate in planned shutdowns and overtime work as required
Maintain workshop housekeeping and safety standards
Liaise with Process Operators and other personnel to coordinate maintenance activities
Accurately record parts usage and job completion details in the CMMS (MEX or similar)
Provide feedback to the Maintenance Manager to support maintenance planning and improvement
What You’ll Bring:
Essential:
Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Fitting
Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance roles
Solid fault-finding skills and hands-on experience with rotating equipment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
Familiarity with CMMS systems (MEX preferred)
Commitment to safety, especially in high-risk environments
Desirable:
Experience in chemical processing or similar high-risk industries
Exposure to reliability-centred maintenance (RCM)
Basic welding skills (TIG/MIG/stick)
Shutdown/turnaround maintenance experience
Knowledge of LOTO procedures
