Use your expertise to make an impact and meet business goals.This is a 12-month maternity cover opportunity.What you’ll be doing.Strategic Sourcing and Category Planning: Own the sourcing and contracting strategy for all categories, from industry analysis to implementation. Provide category insight and expertise through understanding of costs, cost drivers, market, industry and supplier variables.Sustainable Cost Advantage Delivery: Drive initiatives focusing on overall cost optimisation for the categories. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and build a pipeline of opportunities.Business and Stakeholder Alignment: Enhance stakeholder engagement and satisfaction through ongoing communication and participation in leadership teams. Strengthen ties to sourcing strategy and supplier relationships while collaborating with ANZ sourcing teams.Spend Governance: Lead and improve sourcing processes to enhance productivity and meet quality and service needs. Manage supplier contracts according to policy guidelines and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.Supplier Relationship Management: Manages supplier relationships to drive innovation and value for McCain through effective sourcing. Leads discussions on long-term goals and performance, ensuring suppliers understand McCain's value stream and meet contractual obligations through regular check-ins.AOC Budgeting: Works with finance and stakeholders to manage category budgets and ensure contractual commitments, while being accountable for productivity, innovation, and cash flow goals.What you’ll need to be successful.Undergraduate degree in finance/economics/logistics or similar.5+ years of Procurement experience, ideally within the FMCG industry.Experience in Freight & Logistics buying on a Local basis, ideally in buying like categories.Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detailDemonstrated ability to collaborate, build strong working relationships, and influence change within a business.Can point to success in realizing significant savings for the business.Strong decision-making skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines and many competing priorities.Strong quality assurance orientation.Experience with SAP and Excel ideal.About the team.This role reports to the Head of Global Ocean Freight and Cold Storage Procurement andis based in the Melbourne Head Office.
