We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting, reporting, and compliance functions while driving continuous improvement across systems and processes. This is a key leadership role reporting to the CFO, with direct impact on organisational performance and financial integrity.
About the Role
As our Financial Controller, you'll oversee all accounting operations, statutory reporting, audits, cash flow management, tax governance, and financial controls. You will lead a team of twenty with six direct reports and provide high‑quality insights that support strategy, planning, and business decisions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team covering payroll, finance, credit, tax, systems, and workflow automation
* Oversee month‑end, year‑end, statutory accounts (Tier 2), and all audit activity
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and variance analysis
* Strengthen financial controls, systems, processes, and compliance frameworks
* Manage cash flow planning and capital management
* Oversee tax obligations (Income Tax, FBT, Transfer Pricing, SAGR) and ATO reviews
* Ensure JSOX compliance, manage insurance requirements, and mitigate financial risk
* Support large tenders, commercial bids, and lease accounting
* Own financial master data and financial systems governance
To be successful in this role:
You are a proven finance leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to drive accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement. You bring:
* Strong financial control, audit, and compliance experience
* Experience leading a multi‑disciplinary finance team
* Strong systems and process improvement mindset
* Ability to translate financial data into commercial insights
