What you'll do:
As Manager Corporate Finance you will be entrusted with leading a talented team responsible for delivering critical elements of internal and external financial reporting.
Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing complex budgeting cycles, managing investment portfolios and cashflow strategies, preparing statutory reports for executive review, and providing expert guidance to colleagues across various departments.
Success in this role requires you to foster an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring all financial practices meet rigorous compliance standards.
You will also have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions for process enhancement and contribute directly to strategic decision-making through your analytical insights.
By building strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners, you will help drive organisational excellence in financial stewardship.
Manage, consolidate, review and reconcile the organisation's financial management processes including budgeting, student fee revenue, investment portfolio management, and provide insightful commentary for executive submission.
Lead and support finance staff by coordinating financial management activities, overseeing statutory reporting requirements, and nurturing an efficient customer-focused team culture.
Provide timely advice and assistance to Financial Planning and Analysis teams supporting various faculties or support areas on best practice financial processes.
Co-lead the Corporate Finance team by offering guidance, allocating work priorities, conducting performance reviews, and supporting staff development initiatives.
Develop and maintain robust tools and controls to ensure effective oversight of all financial responsibilities within the organisation.
Create comprehensive training materials, guidelines, and resources to assist faculties or support areas with their unique financial management needs.
Review or prepare detailed financial reports for external funding bodies to ensure transparency and compliance with relevant standards.
Engage regularly with internal stakeholders such as Financial Services staff, faculty members, external service providers, auditors, and visitors to facilitate smooth operations.
Champion process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accounting insight, advice delivery, and client support across the finance function.
Undertake additional activities as required that align with the overall accountabilities of the Manager Corporate Finance role.

Experience in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accounting insight and client advisory services is highly desirable.
Expertise in computerised financial systems including advanced Excel proficiency and data interrogation capabilities is expected.
Relevant experience gained within commercial organisations or higher education sectors would be advantageous but not mandatory.
