An exciting 9-month secondment opportunity is now available for a Client Relationship Officer within the Corporate Trusts division of Sandhurst Trustees. This is a fantastic chance to develop your skills and experience in a dynamic team that provides essential custody and settlement services for property-related funds management products.
About the Role
As a Client Relationship Officer, you will be at the heart of our client service and operations function, providing investment administration and custody services for our institutional clients. You will engage with clients daily, manage the settlement of various listed and unlisted securities, and play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in customer service and technical capability.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of trades across equities, fixed interest, and cash securities using systems like CHESS, Austraclear, and Garradin.
* Serving as a primary contact for client requests, questions, and reporting needs.
* Processing corporate actions and ensuring the accurate valuation of securities.
* Reconciling security and cash positions and maintaining up-to-date records.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to uphold risk, compliance, and internal control standards.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and a drive to learn. You will be a great fit for this role if you have:
* Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
* A solid understanding of the share settlement process and general custody requirements. Knowledge of financial markets is highly desirable.
* Experience with cash payment systems (e.g., online banking, Austraclear).
* Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Experience in a Custody or Operations role within Funds Management, or with systems like CHESS and Garradin, would be a significant advantage.
This secondment is a unique opportunity to broaden your experience within the Wealth Management division and contribute to a high-performing team. If successful you will be located at the Melbourne Corporate Office.
