Get paid to live in paradise and join BreastScreen Queensland Radiology as a Radiographer/Mammographer. What you will be doing here? You will be responsible for overseeing the mentoring and training of junior staff/students. You will develop your own skills and knowledge by monitoring and reporting clinical practices and outcomes. You will be actively participating in the development of implementation of quality improvement activities that are able to enhance the service delivery of BreastScreen Queensland.
About us:
BreastScreen Queensland Cairns is operationally managed as part of the Medical Imaging Service and operates from a static site located at McLeod Street. A Screening and Assessment unit is provided at the static site while two mobile units provides screening to women in rural and remote areas of Far North Queensland. The mobile units travel to over 46 mobile sites. BreastScreen Queensland Cairns Service provides a free population-based mammography screening service to women over 40 years of age and we are managed as a multi-disciplinary team.
About your role:
* Provision of discipline specific problem-solving skills within a multidisciplinary team setting at breast assessment clinics.
* High level collaboration with BSQ services across the state and active participation at clinical multidisciplinary and management team meetings as required.
* Deliver high-level of breast screening services to eligible asymptomatic women and high-level diagnostic imaging clinical expertise and care including mammographic core and vacuum assisted biopsy procedures and, independent of supervision as part of the multidisciplinary team in line with the BSQ policies, protocols and procedures and requirements of BreastScreen Australia
