Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Trade Assistant
We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Trade Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general servicing and maintenance/repairs on all makes of trucks and trailers.
The role involves conducting warranty repairs on Fuso, Freightliner, and Mercedes Benz trucks, as well as carrying out minor and major repairs on various makes and models. Candidates must be able to complete services/repairs in a timely manner and receive above award wages with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform general servicing and maintenance/repairs on all makes of trucks and trailers.
* Conduct warranty repairs on Fuso, Freightliner, and Mercedes Benz trucks.
* Carry out minor and major repairs on various makes and models.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualification due to the range of vehicles we service.
* 3rd/4th-year apprentices with extensive experience in road transport vehicles will also be considered.
* Trade Assistants with trade experience may be considered.
* A positive, can-do attitude with willingness to learn and work hard.
* Mechanical aptitude and passion for the trade.
* Understanding of delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.
* Good listening skills, ability to understand complex tasks, excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Current driver's license is required.
