Strategic Director of Local Development
About the Role: As a Strategic Director of Local Development, you will play a pivotal leadership role in guiding the implementation of early childhood reforms across South Australia. The Office for Early Childhood Development champions change and helps build a system that gives all children a flying start to life. Guided by the Royal Commission's recommendations, the Office brings together a holistic system for early childhood development. Critical to this is rolling out universal 3-year-old preschool, giving every child access to two years of teacher-led, play-based learning before school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement aligned change management strategies across four Local Teams.
* Establish and maintain influential partnerships with key stakeholders, including long day care centres and government agencies.
* Design feedback mechanisms and act as a conduit between central policy and local experiences and insights.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements: This position requires significant experience in leading teams and projects, setting clear objectives, and driving strategic outcomes. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to devise effective strategies, manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, and interpret complex data.
