Turkish Bakeries (Australia) Pty Ltd is hiring a full‐time Baker in Osborne Park, WA. The role is permanent and full‐time with a salary range of AUD $75,000–$80,000 plus superannuation.
Job Summary
As a Baker at Turkish Bakeries you will help produce high‐quality artisan breads using traditional techniques and modern bakery practices. You will operate bakery machinery, hand‐shape doughs, bake breads to exact standards, and ensure product consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare dough from scratch using traditional hand‐craft methods and established recipes.
* Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients.
* Operate bakery machinery including mixers, proofers, and deck ovens.
* Hand‐shape doughs and bake a variety of artisan breads to exact standards.
* Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure product consistency.
* Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished baked goods.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in line with HACCP and food safety standards.
* Support stock control processes and assist with inventory management.
* Complete daily production sheets, temperature logs, and wastage records accurately.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily production schedules and targets.
Requirements
* Availability to work on the following schedule:
o Mon morning, Mon afternoon, Mon evening
o Tue morning, Tue afternoon, Tue evening
o Wed morning, Wed afternoon, Wed evening
o Thu morning, Thu afternoon, Thu evening
o Fri morning, Fri afternoon, Fri evening
o Sat morning, Sat afternoon, Sat evening
o Sun morning, Sun afternoon, Sun evening
* 2–3 years of relevant full‐time work experience.
Qualifications & Experience
* A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Baking (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of full‐time relevant work experience; OR
* At least 3 years of full‐time relevant work experience if no formal qualification is held.
Skills & Attributes
* Proven experience in a commercial or artisan bakery setting.
* Solid knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, baking techniques, and bakery machinery.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings and weekends as required.
* Understanding of HACCP, OHS, and workplace hygiene protocols.
* Demonstrated consistency and efficiency in high‐volume production environments.
* A team player with a strong work ethic and a neat, professional appearance.
