Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Risk Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in risk assessment and mitigation, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful applicant will play a key role in strengthening our risk management practices, collaborating across teams to ensure the effectiveness of our systems and empowering colleagues to confidently manage risk. They will lead projects to improve our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with key standards.
Responsibilities:
* Support the assessment and management of risks, including follow-up from incidents, audits, emergencies, planned changes or new legislation.
* Coordinate the review and continuous improvement of the Risk Management Framework across both strategic and operational areas.
* Design and deliver practical risk management education and coaching to risk owners and other stakeholders involved in risk management activities.
* Prepare risk-related reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leaders, the Executive Team and Board.
Requirements:
* A strong background in risk management, quality, safety or related fields is desirable but not essential where equivalent skills and experience can be demonstrated.
* Experience in OH&S, Environmental, or Water Quality Management Systems is advantageous.
* Proven ability to develop business processes, procedures, and reporting systems.
* Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software tools quickly.
