Perth Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery located in West Leederville are looking for an experienced Oral Health Therapist. The practice performs major maxillofacial surgery procedures, including orthognathic surgery, the full scope of minor oral surgery, and implant surgery.
Role
The Oral Health Therapist (OHT) supports a surgery‐based practice by providing intra‐operative assistance. Key responsibilities include post‐operative care, surgical planning, and assisting with computer planning of cases. Theatre training will be provided, and administrative duties are also part of the role.
Responsibilities
* Post‐operative patient care
* Assisting with surgical care
* Management of digital photographs, digital radiographs and patient records
* Pre‐surgical work‐ups – photographs, impressions and pre‐surgical cleans
* Assisting with the consulting process, typing notes into Genie
* Computer‐literacy and assistance with administrative duties
Qualifications
* Registered Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist with current AHPRA registration
* Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
* Experience with Genie, Nobel Clinician, and Dolphin Imaging is preferred, but not essential
* Previous 2 years of demonstrated experience in an OHT role
