The Warehouse & Dispatch Assistant is responsible for receiving, checking, packing, and dispatching all incoming and outgoing goods. This role ensures accurate stock handling, proper invoicing, and timely preparation of completed orders for delivery or pickup. The assistant also supports quality control processes and contributes to an organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive incoming goods and verify purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
· Mark off stock and inspect items for damage or discrepancies.
· Label and organise stock in the correct locations within the warehouse.
· Pack completed jobs accurately, ensuring contents match packing slips and invoices.
· Prepare and label parcels for courier or customer pickup.
· Assist in inventory counts and stocktake processes as required.
· Ensure warehouse area is kept clean, safe, and well-organised.
· Collaborate with production and admin teams to ensure order readiness and on-time dispatch.
· Report stock issues or delivery delays to the Production Manager promptly.
· Follow safe manual handling practices and wear appropriate PPE.
Skills & Experience Required:
· Previous warehouse or dispatch experience preferred.
· Basic computer skills for checking off stock and printing labels/invoices.
· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to lift, move, and pack various-sized garments and boxes safely.
· Knowledge of inventory systems or basic stock control is advantageous.
