Fire Door Technician Job Description
As a Fire Door Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of buildings by installing, inspecting and maintaining fire doors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install fire doors to meet regulatory standards and requirements.
* Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors to identify potential safety risks.
* Maintain and repair fire doors to ensure optimal performance.
* Provide technical support to customers and colleagues on fire door-related matters.
* Record and report maintenance activities for quality assurance.
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum 2-3 years of experience in fire door installation, inspection and maintenance.
* Knowledge of Australian Standards and Regulations.
* Licenses and Certifications: A valid white card, Construction Induction Card, Asbestos Awareness Certificate, Working at Heights Certificate or Forklift License.
* Safety Awareness: Fire Door Installers/Technicians must be safety conscious and have an excellent understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
