About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Nurse to join our dedicated team at Newcastle Family Practice. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the efficient running of our medical practice. As a Practice Nurse, you will work closely with our general practitioners, allied health professionals and administrative staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
What you'll be doing
* Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including clinical assessments, wound management, immunisations, and health education
* Assisting with the coordination and implementation of chronic disease management programs
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Ordering and maintaining medical supplies and equipment
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and professional standards
What we're looking for
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
* Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice
* Proficient in the use of medical software and electronic patient management systems
* Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of our patients
* Nurses of any experience level are encouraged to apply
