**About The Role**
The Procurement Materials Coordinator is the lead role planning for material availability, to identify and facilitate resolution of material priorities through forecasting availability, ensuring that the materials flow is compatible with the Construction Work Package (CWP) schedule to feed each location with the required materials.
In conjunction with the Engineering Materials Coordinator, this role monitors and assures integrity of the materials management process during procurement delivery lifecycle with respect to the materials management system implemented while interfacing with Engineering, Project Controls, Procurement, and Construction Management.
This role assumes material status responsibilities, supporting the flow of materials to schedule and the flow of material information; including the required interfaces and integration to operate the materials management process. This includes the planning and forecasting to proactively identify and address material priorities for the off-site and on-site construction activities.
The responsibilities include:
- Reports and receives direction from the Materials Manager as to how the project will be executed to reach the objectives of the project through use of systems.
- Implements and executes the Material Responsibility Matrix (MRM) with all involved project function and its disciplines to ensure agreement in the division of responsibilities between the client, EPCM, contractors, and other partners.
- Provides operational direction to support control and tracking of equipment and/or materials for materials management related activities of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management via the respective discipline leads, including the Lead Planner.
- Setup, deploy and control the materials management system, processes, procedures and reporting functionalities, including operational direction and detail requirements for all the integrations required in the project's materials management process.
- Provide material visibility and status through leading completeness, consistency, and connectivity of the data in the materials management system.
- Provide Material Availability Forecast at the item level relating to project schedules, rapidly identifying and coordinate with partners for resolving material readiness priorities at all locations of the project.
**About You**
To be considered for this role, the following qualifications, skills and experience are essential.
- Extensive experience in an EPCM project environment on capital projects, working on large construction sites.
- Excellent experience with and knowledge of materials management systems and their setup, implementation, support, and utilization.
- Technical knowledge/understanding of materials management process.
- Interpersonal skills to manage and coordinate EPCM partners for MM Process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling, construction, and constructability issues.
- Knowledge of required standard procurement reporting specifications and best practices in respect to procurement discipline requirements.
- Strong understanding of procurement and construction management processes and corporate governance principles.
